Train: NS 66D Engine: NS 9929
Title:  Train: NS 66D Engine: NS 9929
Description:  Tense moments for the crew as NS 66D loaded synthetic gypsum train for US Gypsum's Washingtonville Plant has just clipped a vehicle at the PA Rt. 54 crossing about a half mile back. The train did not get stopped yet. Fast forward: the truck involved either did not stop, or drove away, so damage was probably minimal to it and minor to the left front of NS 9929, but emotionally hard on the crew, and a nearly 4 hour delay to go the last two miles to USG following an NS investigation.

NS 66D & PPLX train
Title:  NS 66D & PPLX train
Description:  After a nearly 4 hour delay caused by a highway traffic incident at the PA Rt. 54 crossing about 2 miles west of here, NS 66D on the Industrial Track passes an empty PPLX train of aluminum coal gons at PPL's Montour Power Plant. The empty PPLX train, NS 643, would be the first "Ridge" train to operate over the NBER since that line sustained washouts from severe storms on June 27, 2013.
